Primitive Stitchery

I made this stitchery as a gift for my mom for her big 5-0! First attempt I might add! I bought the frame ( don't have a before) but it was just plain blue.. for $.99 at Goodwill. Took the wood burner, some sandpaper and wood stain to it,and this is how it turned out.

I found some muslin @ JoAnn's for $1.99, stained it in instant coffee and used some embroidery floss that I already had to stitch it.

I think it turned out pretty darn cute for $2.99!, and will go great in mi madre's casa! What do you think?

That is so cute. Homemade means so much more and moms just love that stuff. I know I do.
