EaSiEsT ApPlE pIe EvEr!

Ok. So I was craving apple pie today! It was 32 degrees all day! And I've been under the weather.. I didn't even step out of the house.. Who doesn't crave apple pie on such a cold, stay in doors kinda day? I came up with a concoction in my desperation for this beloved treat! It's a perfect 1 serving pie! I used a small round 16ounce corningware dish.. I had a box of 2 premade pie crusts in the fridge.. the really flakey ones!! Well I used 1 roll. cut it in half. And made 2 balls. Rolled them out. Put one rolled pie crust inside the dish to create the base of the pie. placed just the bottom pie crust alone in the oven for 10 minutes to make it crispy yum! Well this was in the oven. Cut up one regular sized gala apple. Skin on and all. Added about 1 tbs of cinnamon 2 tbs of sugar.. Mixed all in with diced apples.. added to the pie crust from the oven. placed the pie crust topping on. Made the little slices on the top to vent.. Stuck it in the oven @ 375 for 45minutes....
It's divine!! Forget the Martha Stewart Recipe.. this baby rocks!!!!!

Yahooligans!!

Ok maybe I'm a bit too excited... Maybe I obsess too much over worldly possessions.. Maybe I'm just down right crazy!! But! Hear me out! I was given Christmas money from the Parentals to buy whichsoever my heart desired. I thought long and hard about it.. took my time researching... scouring every handbag site imaginable to find just the right one. Well after a lot of searching far and wide I made a remarkable discovery. A hand bag that fit me to the T!!  The only problem was it was no longer available! I couldn't find anywhere to purchase it!! I even went as far as posting a yahoo question looking to see if anyone had one for sale. I get a bit obsessive once I find something I really want.. I will not stop until I get it!!! Well this bag I wanted was from Anthropologie. I knew that much. So I went to the Anthropologie website and found the Customer Service Email Address. It stated that they would answer any question you had and would get back to you within 24 hours. So I decided what the heck! It's worth a try! So I emailed describing this unobtainable bag I had been searching for.. thinking they will just tell me to search ebay like I already had. (Anthropologie only carries a certain # of handbags.. they make them kind of exclusive.. so you feel like you have a one of a kind) So anyways. I really didn't think I would get any helpful information. But to my pleasant surprise, they responded the next day notifying me that they had 2 of these bags left. And that I would need to contact the location they were at and order them from there.. Well I called the location.. turns out the bags were 65% off .. So I bought the last two the company had. I got a great deal on them! And I figured I would sell one on ebay to pay for the one I am going to keep! Super Cool huh! The highlight of my week!! Thanks for listening to me jabber about something so insignificant!! I just had to share!!! Have a great day!! And my lesson for the day! DONT GIVE UP!! GO GET EM' TIGER!!! :)

Christmas Where art thou?

(David wuves our Christmas Tree)
(decorating the tree..)(David's glamor shot he took of himself while I was decorating..)

I guess Christmas is officially over now. But Dave and I had a great Christmas this year... very different. but great. We were well taken care of by all of our friends out here in the South. They were very kind by inviting us to join them in their family festivities so we wouldn't be lonely. Christmas Eve our friends the Weinheimers had us over for a Christmas Eve feast! It was delicious! I made Brandy's infamous "Mac n Cheese" and it was a major hit. We ate until we couldn't eat anymore, listened to the Christmas Story, watched the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Program.. and then headed over to the Frost's to hang out with them for a little bit and then headed home to go to sleep before Santa came. On Christmas Morning we opened gifts from Santa.. and then headed over to have a Christmas Brunch with the Weinheimers and the Dubravacs. They made us delicious omlets and muffins.. we devoured them and then we all were off to sing @ an old folks home that we found in Mt. Juliet... AND THAT was Christmas!! I felt the TRUE meaning of Christmas.. aside from the gifts... the food... all the stress and worries about getting gifts yadeyadayada... We each picked out a christmas song that we wanted to sing. The kids played songs they learned on the Piano. The two women and I each sang a song as I accompanied(poorly) on guitar. We all felt so full of joy as we were able to share a little bit of our Christmas with those who didn't have anyone to spend Christmas with. It was AWESOME!! After that David and I went home to play with our new pwesents.. relax.. it was great. We got in like a 3.5 hour nap! Then we went over to the Frost's again to bug them for a while! :) We watched a really good movie.. I think it was called "Chance", if you haven't seen it.. you should.. very good!! That was our Christmas.. It was a very good one.
-ChowChristmas Morning..

Sporting our new hats and glasses!
I got him a red ryder..
He got me a little guitar! (isn't it a cute lil booger!)

Shirty Shirt Shirts!

Here's my show and tell for the week :)
I picked up this fun hobby, creating crazy funky shirts.
It was my sister-in-law Brandy's wonderful idea, and when I had visited AZ about a month ago we made a few of these shirts, (soo fun! Tiff next time I'm in town we'll all have to do it!)

But since then.. I've Kicked 'em Up a Notch! :)

whatchya think?

WE'RE BACK!!

Dave and I went to Arizona 2 weeks ago for Grandma McCray's Funeral. It was a unfortunate event to return home to. But the funeral was very nice. Grandma was a wonderful lady and Dave and I feel very blessed to have had her in our lives. Although we were there on such a sad occasion it was nice to be able to spend time with family. I especially enjoyed getting to know my sister-in-law Leesa and her husband Tyson better. We had alot of fun. (thanks for letting us stay with you guys!) We we're able to see both Jacob and Justin in action at there football games. The McCray boys are athletic boys! Jacob's team won 1st place in his league and we were there for the winning game! woot woot!! We had thanksgiving dinner early since we we're in town with about 100 or more of the McCray crew. What else?.. We returned to the valley to visit my family for a little while. My dad just bought a few 4 wheelers so we had a BLAST riding out in the desert with them! It was good to see both of our families, since we aren't going to make it out to see them for Christmas.
